Tennessee Library Day

Monday, April 9th is Tennessee Library Day.

Please join us at the State Capitol to celebrate with people who love libraries! We'll have a short program for advocates at 3:30, and will serve refreshments in the hall from 4-5 p.m.

Registration is now open! You can register online, or in person at the TLA Conference next week. There is no cost for this event. Please spread the word; we want a good turnout.

Please invite your legislators to join you at the Capitol, in the Old Supreme Court Chambers on the first floor. This is just steps away from where the General Assembly convenes at 5 p.m.

Questions? Post in the comments.

There's an app for TLA Conference

If you're attending the 2012 TLA Conference and have a smart phone, there is now an app for  you!

You'll get a map of the conference space, exhibit hall, and a schedule of all of the sessions, keynotes and events occurring from March 21-23 at the Knoxville Marriott. You can build your own schedule, rate sessions and even create a to-do list.

To get started:

1. Download the free Guidebook app from the Apple Store or Android Market.
2. Search for TLA Conference. You're ready to go!

Everyone attending the conference will receive a printed booklet in their conference bag. This information is also available now on the TLA Conference website

See you next week in Knoxville!

Badges for the Conference

The conference countdown has begun! There's lots of work happening behind the scenes to make this year's TLA Conference in Knoxville a great success.
Tell the world what you're
doing at TLA 2012!

There's a great line-up of speakers, sessions and exhibitors. I'm also putting the final touches on our very first conference app! More details on that next week.

If you're attending, speaking, or tweeting the event, please consider sharing the news with one of the nifty conference badges, courtesy of Courtney Fuson and featuring this year's logo.

You can put the badge on your website, blog, or in your email signature. Right click on any of the images on this page and save it to your computer. Please link the image back to, the official 2012 TLA Conference website.
